Community Radio

Transmitting with an effective radiated power output of just 100 watts, WKRP's terrestrial signal is highly concentrated within the neighborhoods of northeast Raleigh. Nevertheless, population surveys tell us our signal covers a population of at least 65,000 potential listeners - a large community we're proud to serve.

Nonetheless, it's with tongue firmly in cheek that we refer to ourselves as "The Mighty KRP..."

The above map is an approximation of our signal's reach - a "hyperlocal" one that broadcasts "between the forties" in the northeast area of North Carolina's capital city.
